Attorney Profiles

Mr. Mercer studied law at Seattle University (formerly University of Puget Sound) and the University of Utah. He was first admitted to practice in Utah in 1994. While practicing in Utah, Mr. Mercer served as the city prosecutor in Tooele, then West Jordan City. He joined the Salt Lake District Attorney's Office in 1995, where his duties included prosecuting clandestine drug laboratory cases. After being admitted to practice in Arizona (2000), Mr. Mercer joined the Maricopa County Attorney's Office, where he served until 2004. He then joined the Mesa Prosecutor's Office, where he remained until leaving for private practice in 2006. He has been a member of the Weingart Law Firm since May 2006. He brings with him a wide and varied background in all areas of criminal law.
