About Mark N. Weingart

Founding member Mark Weingart is a board certified specialist in criminal law under standards established by the Arizona Board of Legal Specialization.

Highly Experienced DUI Attorney

Mark N. Weingart has been practicing law for 35 years. He is a former assistant county prosecuting attorney in the State of Ohio, where he prosecuted in excess of 100 D.U.I. cases early in his career. When he came to Arizona in 1979, he was appointed as a city court judge in the City of Tempe, where he presided over D.U.I. cases. At the time Mr. Weingart was the youngest appointed city judge in Arizona. He worked full and part-time in that capacity as a judge from 1979 until 1986. Also for a six-year period, he served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Arizona.

Weingart Law Firm

In 1988, the Weingart Law Firm was founded. The firm was the first to concentrate on DUI representation. At that time the DUI laws in Arizona were starting to get very strict and it became apparent that many people would need representation. As the years went on, Arizona DUI law evolved into the situation we see today.

Arizona has the toughest DUI laws in the country. Mandatory long jail sentences and loss of license made a conviction actually life altering. Accordingly, the firm grew and spawned other DUI firms, but Weingart Law Firm is the original DUI firm. For over 24 years the firm has represented over 25,000 clients and tried thousands of DUI cases. Mark Weingart has tried around 500 DUI jury trials himself.

Additionally, Mr. Weingart has participated as a seminar lecturer, both locally and nationally, on DUI defense techniques. Mr. Weingart is frequently consulted by the media as a legal expert on DUI and other vehicular crime-related issues and has appeared on both local radio and television news. He was a sponsor and spokesman of the Channel 12 “Safe Ride Home” program.
